I live in Rockwall, Texas, which has hardly any crime at all. Rockwall is in the top five most wealthest cities in the US per family income rating. So why would the city decided to hire 85 new police officers? You won't be able to go 5 blocks without seeing one. Huh? Why in the hell is this happening? For what reason have they increased the Law enforcement to such an extent. What are the planning? Has there been an increase Nation wide? If so, I'd like to know.

Re: Increase in Law enforcement?
Wed, December 19, 2007 - 7:55 PMLaw enforcement has nothing to do with crime and everything to do with control and "revenue", i.e. "theft". Why steal from people outright when you can con them into believing you are protecting them? -

Re: Increase in Law enforcement?
Thu, December 20, 2007 - 10:05 PMI live in a town in East Tennessee (pop. 14,200) that derives most of its income from tourism, and we have 54 police officers. I noticed Rockwall has roughly the same population. Eighty-five seems like an inordinate amount of police to begin with, however, adding eighty-five seems absolutely absurd. If I ran my budget as recklessly as your county, I would be broke in no time, lol. Good luck. -

Re: Increase in Law enforcement?
Sat, January 5, 2008 - 11:46 AMIt's because of a shortage in our labour market here, they want a lot more, and we do have 2 police choppers, plus, they are trained as if Calgary was L.A.
Don't manifest what you don't want, think only of what you desire most. The best advice I was ever given... -

Re: Increase in Law enforcement?
Thu, February 21, 2008 - 5:40 PMI was born in Bradenton and all my family members live there. I knew a few of the cops there and I actually thought that they were pretty cool, but of course I'm a chick and that may make a difference. The Cops here in Texas are out for blood. Trust me! This state is where the police state started!! I miss Florida so much!! But I still love Texas, not the cops.
